To keep it short: We only process your data to provide you with our services and our website. We do not sell it to anyone or use it for advertising.

This notice provides you with information on how Arc Studio Pro („we”) will process your personal data.

Purposes for which we process your data

We will process your personal data for registering your account, for contacting you in regard to our services, for providing you with our services, for enabling you to use all the features of our services, for billing purposes, for trouble-shooting purposes, for the development and improvement of our services, for providing you with our website and all its features and for creating user statistics in regard to the website. We receive personal data only from you or your web browser (e.g.: IP-address, name and version of your web browser, cookies etc). The provision of your personal data is voluntary. However, if you do not provide your personal data, we cannot provide you with our services and you could not use all features of our website.

Legal basis of the processing

The legal basis for processing your personal data is Article 6 (1) lit a of the GDPR (processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party). If you explicitly agreed to receiving our newsletter, we process name and email-address on the basis of your consent according to Article 6 (1) lit a GDPR. In regard to data we process when you visit our website the legal basis is Article 6 (1) lit f of the GDPR (processing is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests).

Transfer of your personal data

We use third party services in order to provide and improve our products. As part of that, we may transfer customer data to the following providers:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS): We use AWS as our primary cloud host, meaning that most of our data processing happens on their infrastructure and most of your data is stored in their data centers. AWS is the market leader in cloud hosting and has strong provisions for privacy and data security in place (e.g. data centers are secured by professional security personnell, video surveillance and intrusion detection).   • Stripe: We use Stripe to collect payments data, should you decide to subscribe to a paid plan. Stripe is a payments platform that specializes in securely handling payments data. You can read about their privacy policy here: https://stripe.com/us/privacy
  • Bugsnag: We use Bugsnag to report and track application exceptions, in order to improve the robustness of our services.   • Papertrail: We use Papertrail for log aggregation and management in order to audit our services. Customer data is anonymized as much as possible. You can read more about their privacy policy here: https://www.solarwinds.com/legal/privacy
  • Zendesk: We use Zendesk to communicate directly with you, our customers, so messages you send to customer support are processed through their service. You can read their privacy policy here: https://www.zendesk.com/company/privacy-and-data-protection/
  • Mailgun: We use mailgun to send out transactional emails, writing reminders and writing reports (should you choose to receive them). Read their privacy policy here: https://www.mailgun.com/gdpr/
  • Convertkit: We use ConvertKit to send out email newsletters. Read their privacy policy here: https://convertkit.com/privacy
  • Google Drive: If you optionally choose to backup your data to Google Drive, we will save new versions of your script to a folder in your Google Drive cloud storage. (This feature is entirely optional and requires you to explicitly request us to do so.)
  • Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager: We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager in order to obtain aggregated usage statistics of our services. We enabled IP anonymization so that neither we nor Google collect your IP address as part of analytics tracking. (See below for more information on Google Analytics.)

Publishing content and personal data

By default, we take great care to keep all your information 100% private. As an option, Arc Studio Pro allows you share some of your data with other or to publish it on the internet, for your benefit of easier collaboration, should you choose to do so. E.g. you can give other people write access to your script, ask other people for feedback on (excerpts of) your script or comment on other people's work. You may also (optionally) join writing groups where you can share your work and comment on other people's work. When engaging with the public through our platform, we publish information you ask us to publish and may attribute this to your name. We aim to make it clear what information gets published as a result of any action – when in doubt, please contact support@arcstudiopro.com before engaging with public facing elements of the platform.


Our website as almost all websites uses cookies, otherwise the features of our website would not work. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile phone when you browse websites. If the settings in your browser are set to accept cookies, it is our understanding, that you are fine with our website using cookies. Should you wish to remove or not use cookies from our website you can turn cookies off by adjusting your browser settings to stop it from accepting cookies. Doing so, however, will likely limit the functionality of our and a large proportion of the world's websites as cookies are a standard part of most modern websites. We use cookies to make our website work (session and permanent cookies). There is no way to prevent session cookies being set other than to not use our website. Session cookies are however deleted automatically when you leave our website. Permanent cookies stay on your computer until you delete them manually in your browser. We use these kinds of cookies to recognize you when you visit our website the next time, and to remember where our customers learned about our service. Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies to help us analyze how users use our website. We process your data on the basis of our prevailing legitimate interest to cost-efficiently generate easy-to-use website access statistics (Article 6 (1) lit f GDPR). The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address and the URLs of the accessed pages) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. We do not store any of your personal data collected in connection with Google Analytics. This website uses an IP-anonymization feature provided by Google Analytics. Your IP-address will therefore be truncated / anonymized by Google as soon as it receives it. On behalf of us, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to us. Google will not associate your IP-address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. However, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. Retention period

We keep your personal data only for as long as we reasonably consider necessary for achieving the purposes set out above and as is permissible under applicable law. We will, in any case, retain your personal data for as long as there are statutory retention obligations or potential legal claims are not yet time-barred. Your rights in connection with your personal data You have, among others, the right: (i) to check whether and what kind of personal data we hold about you and to request correction, supplementation or deletion of your personal data that is inaccurate or processed in non-compliance with applicable requirements, and (iii) to request us to restrict the processing of your personal data, (iv) to know the identities of third parties to which your personal data are transferred, and (vii) to lodge a complaint with the competent authority.
